General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland
(depending on local referral patterns).

Hernia Surgery

Hernia repair is a very common operation. Special belts can be used to support the hernia but surgery is the best option. If neglected a hernia will usually get worse and increase in size. Occasionally it can lead to complications, strangulation of the intestine. Emergency treatment is then required.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy allows your surgeon to examine the Gastro Intestinal tract that extends from the mouth through to the anus. Gastroscopy and colonoscopy are effective and minimally invasive methods of diagnosing and treating disorder of the upper and lower gastro interinal tract.

Colorectal Surgery
